My Homeschool Journey

By Linda Stablein (Gateway Christian Schools)

Things have changed since home education first began, and this workshop will give you the information you need to keep up-to-date on dual enrollment, paperwork, etc. In addition, the workshop will cover choosing curriculum, adapting to learning styles, how to have a lifestyle of learning, how to relax as you home educate, teaching with God as the center of your education, encouraging children, building and investing in a home library, tips for high school, and will have a question and answer session. You should go away from this workshop with a lighter load and inspired to seek the Lord for his will for your family.

Linda Stablein is the mother of seven children and has 22 years of experience in home education. She has used a variety of curricula and has counseled parents for years on choosing curriculum and how to develop a personalized lifestyle of learning. When the Stablein family started home education, they had a firm conviction that relationship with the Lord is a vital part of educating children. During the 22 years as a homeschool mom, Linda has graduated 5 children and still homeschools the 2 youngest children. Linda’s heart is to encourage parents and relieve them of the burden of meeting others’ expectations by focusing on the Lord instead.
